Today the students at St Matthias were treated to a fantastic concert courtesy of the Wolverhampton Music Service. There was a range of brass, woodwind and string instruments being performed live in our school. The compilation of music ranged from classical pieces such as Debussy through to ‘We don’t talk about Bruno’ from Encanto and ‘Don’t stop the music’ by Rihanna. The students practised their listening skills to identify a range of different instruments and the families they were from. We also wanted the students to experience being part of an audience at a live music event.
The concert was a huge success. This is what our students had to say:
